Wedding Warrior Assistant – Louisville, Kentucky

An assistant is responsible for assisting a lead Wedding Warrior in coordinating a wedding day. Every wedding is slightly different, but this may entail setting up décor, placing accessories, executing floor plans, communicating with vendors, serving VIP guests, and/or packing gifts. This is an Independent Contractor position and Contractor does not have Employee rights or benefits. There is no guarantee of how many weddings/Saturdays needed. Based on client preference and availability.

Required Skills:

• Must be available to work day and evenings Saturdays (occasional Friday and Sunday weddings), now – mid November {MUST be available to apply: 7/14 & 9/15}. This position will not work every weekend, but availability is crucial since we are typically not aware of which weekends are needed until approximately 30 days prior. Ideally the person hired will be with us again next season (April-November) with open/flexible Saturday availability.

• Must be courteous, hospitable, and polite to all guest, coordinators, and wedding vendors at all times.

• Must be well put together and professional in appearance and demeanor.

• Must be physically able to climb ladders, walk miles (average 6 miles a wedding day), lift heavy items, and be on your feet for 10+ hours.

• Must be able to think quickly and communicate accurately while making decisions.

• Must be able to maintain an illusion of calm during a stressful environment.

• Must have an understanding of basic hospitality etiquette.

• Must go above and beyond for every client and coordinator.

• Must be able to take direction and constructive criticism. An Assistant is second in command at all times.

Compensation:

$20 an hour {typical wedding day 10 hours}
